The Emperor

From my series of the Major Arcana shown at Archival Gallery, October 2024.
Hand embroidery on painted cotton. 6" wood hoop on textured and painted 10" birch wood box. Wired to hang.

Embroidery completely done by hand with a tiny needle using sewing thread, floss, perle cotton, metallic thread and stitched down lace, hand dyed wool and other found trimmings.
Painting is done using acrylics, watercolors, inks and mixed media including gold leaf and glue drops.
